St. Joseph’s Health Centre Toronto is a Catholic community teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto, and accredited with exemplary standing by Accreditation Canada, serving the communities of West Toronto.
People tell us that when they walk into St. Joe’s it feels “different”. They tell stories about how a compassionate nurse supported them during a difficult time. How the delivery team shared their joy when the baby came. Stories about the time a patient said, “thank you,” and made them realize they had chosen the right career. The St. Joe’s difference can be put into one word: community.
For almost 100 years we have served the health care needs of the diverse communities of South West Toronto. Our Mission is founded in the legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph and we are proud that we are able to continue their tradition of care that reflects the universal values of respect, dignity and compassion.
As a community teaching health centre we are committed to providing the people we care for with the highest quality of patient, family and community focused health care services. Our health care professionals are here for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our Vision is to Advance the Health of our Community by being Canada’s Best Community Teaching Health Centre.
Students from a wide variety of health care professions choose us for the unique learning opportunities that we are able to provide. Our staff support and encourage students as they learn how to deliver the best care to meet the needs of our patients, their families and the communities that we serve. We are known by our partners in education for our rich learning environment, and with them, we have helped to produce some extraordinary professionals that are truly committed to clinical excellence.
Over the next five years we will be working with our teams, our patients and our partners to make our community one of the healthiest in Canada. We will be working together with you to create seamless transitions in care, deliver an exceptional experience, and shape care through teaching and education.
