smoke-freeSmoking on hospital property

The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Ministry of Health Promotion have updated the Smoke Free Ontario Act which requires all hospitals in the province to be 100 per cent smoke free.

As a result, St. Joe’s is a completely smoke-free hospital effective January 1, 2018.

What does this mean for you?
Staff, physicians, patients and community members will be directed to smoke off hospital property to help create a safe, healthy and comfortable environment for everyone at St. Joe’s.

Please help St. Joe’s be a good neighbour and use the butt stops to extinguish your cigarettes before entering the property. Do not litter in our neighbourhood.
