Laboratory Services (Pathology)

$34.506 to $43.285 per hour
Part Time, 04. FTE.
The Department of Laboratory Medicine is seeking an experienced candidate to join its leadership team in the Pathology Laboratory. The ideal candidate should have current experience in a Pathology laboratory.
1. CMLTO Registration required.
2. Minimum of 1-2 years experience within a Pathology laboratory required
3. Recent CMLTO recognized experience in all aspects of Pathology technical skills including accessioning, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, frozen sections and special stains.
4. Experience with immunohistochemistry would be considered an asset.
5. Experience with automated immunohistochemistry applications considered a strong asset.
6. Familiarity with a laboratory information systems.
7. Demonstrated initiative and commitment to improving processes and efficiency in the lab.
8. Demonstrated communication and organizational skills.
9. Demonstrated characteristics of a strong team player, showing enthusiasm and willingness to learn and grow within the department.
10. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
11. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills coupled with the ability to teach and motivate students.
12. Satisfactory attendance record.
NOTE: This position is part of the newly certified LiUNA bargaining unit.
