Employee Experience

hr-frontline3-bannerAs part of our strategic plan we’ve prioritized delivering an exceptional experience, not only for the patients who come through our doors, but for our staff, physicians, students and volunteers who are delivering high-quality care every day. Enabling our people to be their best, to feel fulfilled and to feel valued for their contributions is important to us.

That’s why we actively reach out and engage our internal community to better understand their needs and develop action plans that build on our strengths and address identified gaps. Our people say that what sets St. Joe’s apart as a workplace is the connection and camaraderie between all of the members of our team — we call it the St. Joe’s difference.

We facilitate a wide variety of activities to engage with staff and help employees with their physical and mental wellness and reach their full potential.

What truly makes St. Joe’s unique are those who live our mission and values every day and who make patient experiences the best they can be: our people. The richness and diversity of the experiences, ideas, opinions and perceptions of physicians, staff, students and volunteers inform how we move forward not only to become Canada’s best community teaching health centre, but to ensure that we are also positioned as a great place to work and to make a difference.
