Researchers at our three sites work hard every day to spur innovations in basic science, clinical research and health services and policy research on a global playing field. With a new network, our research has more potential than ever.
To celebrate our network’s researchers and their dedication to driving innovation that will change the lives of patients, November became Research Month at St. Michael’s Hospital three years ago. For the first time ever, this awareness and recognition month has been expanded to all three sites, under the fitting theme of TOgether.

“This is our chance to thank you for all you do to inspire a culture of innovation across our clinics, labs and in our communities,” said Dr. Patricia O’Campo, interim vice-president of Research, at today’s opening event for the month.
During November, there will be at least one event every day to enable others within Research or whose work may not involve research to discover its potential at the network. From randomized coffee talks where researchers are encouraged to share a cup of coffee with staff to lectures about multiple sclerosis innovations and inter-professional based practice research, the month will cover a broad range of areas in research and opportunities to collaborate.
To view a full list of the events for Research Month, please visit this webpage and plan out a November full of highlights of the work researchers do across all three of the network’s sites. Passports to Research Month, which also include this full list, will be available at:
- Health Sciences Library, LKSKI at St. Michael’s
- Room A203 – Knowledge Centre at Providence Healthcare
- Research Office, Sunnyside Bldg., 1st Floor, Room 121 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre
Happy Research Month!
