The Department of Medical Education, Research & Scholarship (DMERS) and the Interprofessional Providers (IPP) are pleased to announce that the 6th Annual Academic Achievement Day will be held on Friday June 9, 2017 at 11:30 am to 1 pm – Education Centre A & B.

The deadline to submit nominations is Monday May 15, 2017. For more information about any of the awards, please refer to the program attached to this email.

The Interprofessional Education Teaching Award was established to recognize a person or team who advances interprofessional education by preparing students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for collaborative interprofessional teamwork.

This person/team supports different professions in learning with, from, and about each other to improve collaboration and quality of care. They model the 6 core competencies for interprofessional care which are: patient & family centered care, communication, role clarity, conflict resolution, team functioning and collaborative leadership.
