2L – General Medicine, Telemetry & Stroke
Part Time (mainly weekends)
$38.683 to $44.415 per hour
The Physiotherapist is a program-based position, reporting to a Patient Care Manager within the Medicine, & Seniors Health Program. This position will be primarily responsible for providing assessment and treatment recommendations for patients within the Medicine Program.
1. Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy required, Master's Degree preferred.
2. Registered in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario required.
3. Two years inpatient hospital experience in physiotherapy practice preferred.
4. Experience with assessment of cognition, mobility and safety with elderly and/or chronically ill.
5. Experience working with patients affected by stroke and/or stroke training preferred.
6. BLS required (or willingness to complete within probationary period).
7. Demonstrated experience in dealing with the geriatric population and general medicine patients.
8. Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Demonstrated effectiveness in inter-professional practice skills.
10. Demonstrated critical thinking skills/problem-solving skills.
11. Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
12. Satisfactory attendance record.
